My name is Fiona and I have created this blog to share with others what I have been learning about inclusive education whilst undertaking my Masters in Inclusion and Special Educational Needs. I have created a model that I believes encapsulates all that inclusion should mean to the individual child, the school and the community. I have then built on this to build on each of the key areas I have discussed. I hope you find it interesting and would appreciate any feedback.
I have an extensive back ground in SEN having worked in the field for over 15 years. I have experience in specialist colleges, LDD further education settings, as a private tutor and I am currently working in a secondary school within the inclusion department. My specialist areas are social, emotional and mental health difficulties and autism and my current role is to manage the provision for students with cognition and learning difficulties.
